The CSG Group, as a long-term special partner of the NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days, decided to fully support its organizer, even though the event did not take place this year due to the floods.
In connection with the tragic floods, which also hit the Moravian-Silesian Region very heavily, the NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days 2024, a traditional security parade held at Mošnov Airport, which was to take place on 21 and 22 September, was cancelled on Sunday, 15 September, less than a week before the event.
Zbyněk Pavlačík, chairman of the Jagello 2000 association, which organizes the event, said: „We made the decision to cancel at a very critical moment – a number of supplies and services have already been paid for. Some partners also began to turn to us with a request for a refund and suppliers for payment of other invoices, which together created unsolvable financial pressure. Therefore, we had to admit the possibility of filing our own insolvency petition and terminating our activities.“
The CSG Group is aware that the cancellation of NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days caused significant economic damage both to tourism in the Moravian-Silesian Region and especially to the organizer, the Jagello 2000 association. Therefore, it has decided not to demand the return of the allocated funds and thus contribute to bridging the difficult period so that the organization and implementation of a number of other projects on which the Jagello 2000 association is working will not be affected in the future.
Andrej Čírtek, spokesman of the CSG Group, says: „Jagello 2000 is our long-term partner, with whom we have been cooperating since 2011. The true strength of partnerships is shown in crisis situations such as the one that occurred this year as a result of the floods. We appreciate the important role that Jagello 2000 plays for the entire Czech and NATO security community. That is why we have decided that the funds we have allocated as a special partner of NATO Days will remain available to the Jagello 2000 association, even though this year’s edition has been cancelled.“
Zbyněk Pavlačík responded: „We greatly appreciate the decision of the CSG Group and thank you very much for it. Thanks to this help, we are out of the worst and we can start preparing on 25. NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days and our other projects.“
CSG expects to present itself at the jubilee 25th edition as the most important defence industry company in the Czech Republic and an industrial group with strong innovation potential.
