On Tuesday, June 20th, the jubilee 10th edition of the conference Our Security Cannot Be Taken for Granted will take place in the Ball Game Hall of Prague Castle. This year, the conference will feature speeches by the highest constitutional officials, representatives of the Ministry of Defense, the Army of the Czech Republic, and also representatives of parliamentary parties.
The security conference will also be supported this year by the industrial-technology holding Czechoslovak Group in the position of a general partner. The conference will be followed by a ceremonial ceremony on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Czech Republic.
In the introduction of the conference, the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Petr Fiala, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jan Lipavský, and the Minister of Defense, Jana Černochová, will make their speeches. The Chief of the General Staff of the Army of the Czech Republic, Karel Řehka, will also complement the political representation with his address.
The President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, will also speak to the participants of the conference.
During the conference, a total of five panel discussions will take place. The key topics will be the conflict in Ukraine and its impacts on Czech society, the state of defense and security of the Czech Republic, and the upcoming summit of the North Atlantic Alliance in Vilnius, Lithuania.
Among those participating in the discussions will be the government’s envoy for the reconstruction of Ukraine, Tomáš Kopečný, the Prime Minister’s advisor for national security, Tomáš Pojar, representatives of government and opposition political parties from the Czech parliament, as well as commanders of the National Guards of the American states of Texas and Nebraska.
The conference titled Our Security Cannot Be Taken for Granted will be followed by a ceremonial event on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Czech Republic. This significant event will take place under the auspices of the President of the Republic in the Spanish Hall of Prague Castle. Both events are organized by the association Jagello 2000, z.s.
The long-term partner of the conference Our Security is Not a Given is the industrial-technological holding Czechoslovak Group (CSG). The roots of the holding date back to 1995, when a small trading company, Excalibur Army, was founded.
Today, it is the most significant producer of specialized equipment in the Czech Republic and one of the key companies within the whole group, which includes not only Czech and Slovak enterprises but also companies from Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the USA. (sfr)
