Czech defence industry companies will exhibit their products at SAHA EXPO in Turkey. The biennial SAHA EXPO, an international defence and aerospace exhibition, will be held in Istanbul, Turkey, from 22-26 October. This year’s edition of this prestigious exhibition will feature products by the CSG Defence division of the Czechoslovak Group through its companies Excalibur Army and MSM Group, as well as products, projects and services of Tatra Export and Excalibur International.
Excalibur International is an integrator of complex projects of Czechoslovak Group companies and represents them in a number of regions around the world. It focuses mainly on large international projects, delivery of complex turnkey solutions, logistics and financing of projects in the defence and civil industry. At SAHA EXPO 2024 in Istanbul, the company will present the assembly of a multi-purpose rocket artillery system to the expert public and visitors in the form of detailed scale models. This advanced system can use a wide range of guided and unguided munition for combat operations with a maximum range of up to 280 km.
Tatra Export will present a full range of vehicles from all model lines of Tatra Trucks company designed for military purposes. Visitors will be able to experience the features and performance of the Tatra Force, Tatra Tactic and Tatra Phoenix vehicles via virtual reality. All three of these vehicle model lines are already in service with a number of armed forces around the world, including Turkey and other countries in the Middle East. The main attraction will be the new third-generation Tatra Force, which made its debut at Eurosatory 2024.
Excalibur Army will present its products through scale models, presentations and virtual reality software. The main products are currently the self-propelled artillery systems Morana and Dita of 155 mm NATO calibre as well as the DANA 152 mm calibre artillery systems. In addition to these, Excalibur Army also offers the RM-70 Vampire artillery rocket systems and the Patriot 4×4 armoured vehicle, which is used by the armed forces as well as rescue and firefighting services. Excalibur Army will also present engineer and support vehicles such as the AM-70EX and AM-50EX bridge vehicles, the TREVA-30 evacuation and recovery vehicle and the DECON decontamination vehicle, all on Tatra chassis.
MSM Group, an umbrella company of several munition manufacturers, will show a full range of modern medium and large calibre ammunition. In Istanbul, experts will be able to see a wide range of ammunition made by VOP Nováky, Fábrica de Municiones de Granada and ZVS. It will be 155 and 105 mm artillery ammunition, 155 mm training artillery ammunition or 120 mm tank ammunition. MSM Group companies will also present powder cartridges, lighters, initiation units, etc.
SAHA EXPO International Defence and Aerospace Exhibition is organized by an industrial cluster with more than 1200 companies and 29 universities under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey and with the participation and support of the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of National Defence, Ministry of Industry and Technology, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure or other civil and military public institutions. More than 1,400 exhibitors will be present in a total area of 90,000 square meters and 8 exhibition halls, and the number of visitors is expected to reach 150,000.
